The company wanted to get accurate costs of products across channels so it could price offerings profitably.
The Challenge. This global financial services company faced challenges around pricing and profitability for a wide range of services across business units in different countries. Each region of the world had business units offering some variation of the services and the company was also developing bespoke (customized) offerings. Different regions of the world also had some unique channels. The company wanted to get accurate costs of products across channels so it could price offerings profitably. This created challenges for the global finance organization in the US.
The Solution. CT Global’s team used SAS Cost & Profitability Management to develop financial models of cost and profitability across three continents. SAS Data Management and SAS Data Integration tools were used to create a single data repository to enable models to run automatically. Output from the model was consumed by global teams as well as global finance through their legacy reporting environment. The company generated accurate information to evaluate product profitability and made pricing decisions.
